At Camelot for Children, our mission is built on connection, compassion, and community. We are thrilled to welcome Shalon M. Buskirk as our new Operations Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience, a heart for service, and a deeply personal connection to our organization.  Her diverse educational background, coupled with her passion for helping others, makes her a valuable addition to the Camelot team. In her role as Operations Manager, she is dedicated to supporting the daily functions of the organization while helping ensure that every program, event, and opportunity we provide reflects the caring and inclusive environment Camelot is known for.

What makes Shalon’s journey to Camelot particularly special is that she is not only joining us as a staff member, but she is also a proud Camelot parent. As a Camelot mom, she understands firsthand the impact a supportive community can have on children, young adults, and their families. Her personal experiences give her a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the relationships, friendships, and sense of belonging that Camelot fosters every day.

For Shalon, Camelot for Children is far more than an organization. It is a family. Having experienced the mission from both a personal and professional standpoint, she is honored to be part of a team that is committed to creating meaningful experiences and lifelong memories for the families we serve.

When she is not at Camelot, Shalon enjoys spending time with her family and embracing life’s simple joys. Whether she’s cheering from the sidelines at her son’s football games, creating cherished memories with her granddaughter, getting lost in the pages of a good book, baking and cooking for loved ones, or relaxing with a great movie, family remains at the heart of everything she does.
