Camelot for Children receives a $4,000 Community Grant from The Provident Bank Foundation
07/13/2023- Camelot for Children today announced it has been awarded a Community Grant in the amount of $4,000 from The Provident Bank Foundation to support their summer camp.
Camelot for Children was selected to receive the grant based on our mission and excellence in providing social opportunities for an underserved community. Our summer camp runs for six weeks from 8 am-3 pm during the summer, free of charge for our families. We follow a detailed schedule that includes crafts, movement activities, guest entertainment, and outdoor water time each day. Several field trips are arranged at various locations such as; fishing at a private lake in Slatington; a swimming pool in Allentown and a show at DeSales University.
“We are so appreciative of The Provident Bank and the contributions graciously donated to this organization. These benefactions help us create more opportunities for our children and create the magic of childhood.”
“We are pleased to help further valuable initiatives put forth by local organizations who are working every day to strengthen the lives of residents in our communities,” said Samantha Plotino, Executive Director, The Provident Bank Foundation. “We will continue to provide support to these important organizations that have identified an immediate need in the community and for the individuals they serve.”

About Camelot for Children
For more than 30 years, Camelot for Children has provided services to 6-19-year-old children who have serious, chronic illnesses or life-altering disabilities. We extend our programming to the siblings of our Camelot children, as well as to their parents and caregivers, and all of this is free of charge. It is more important than ever before to provide social and educational opportunities for our at-risk community who may be feeling isolated from their peers.
