Originally, I saw Camelot for Children as a way to fill in my National Honor Society hours, however I quickly discovered my mistake. Camelot is much more than a summer camp, it is a life changing experience for campers and volunteers alike. On my first day I was instantly welcomed by warm smiles and gracious hugs. My day was loaded with laughs and experiences that are not provided anywhere else in the world. Never before did I think a game of pickup basketball would be so much fun, or would a game of hide-and-seek would bring so much joy into my life. Frankly, words do not do Camelot justice. There is nothing more rewarding than the radiant laugh of a carefree child happy to be living their life surrounded by their best friends.
