Volunteer Spotlight

Since my sister was a special needs child, I grew up being a Camelot kid. Camelot was a second home for me because you can be yourself without being judged. I never expected to be on the Jr. Board today but I always wanted to be a volunteer so that I can make kids as happy as I was when I was a Camelot kid. I wasn’t able to do it when I hit the volunteer age. However, when I heard that Camelot was closing, I knew that it was time to come back and be a volunteer. I’m glad that I did! Seeing the smiles on kids’ faces makes my day and when they get excited seeing you just makes my heart melt. This is what Camelot means to me and I’m so sad that I wouldn’t be able to do much next year!
